The graphic system is based on a unified card structure allowing clear and immediate identification of the players, but also a hierarchical signage.
Launched in 2019, Sorare is a global fantasy football game, in which players buy, sell, trade and manage a virtual team with digital player cards. Players build their dream team and compete against each other based on statistics from real competitions.The game uses Ethereum-based blockchain technology and is today one of the most remarkable NFT related project in the world. We helped Sorare team bootstrapping the project designing the card system and their launch website, providing the game art direction and creative structure.
The creation of the card system is based on a global search for representative graphic elements of collectible cards. This has led to the realization of several creative routes, each of which explores several compositional systems. Our research focused on the development of a modular system to create attractive digital assets, inspired by references from analog and digital trading card games.

In addition to player and team information, the cards can be identified by their scarcity and their reference number in the series.
Sorare has received support from both venture capital firms like Benchmark and Accel, as well as individuals such as Griezmann, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, former AC Milan striker Oliver Bierhoff, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and famed investor Gary Vaynerchuk.
Sorare raised $680 million (€580 million) in a funding round led by Japanese conglomerate Softbank, setting a European record for series B funding in the process. The investment values the company at over €3.6 billion.
